About Us

Farm-stop is about reporting fairly, accurately, informatively, positively

I trained as a journalist more than 20 years ago at the University of Sheffield, under the supervision of exemplary tutors. In the ensuing two decades, the world of journalism changed in many ways. One of the most challenging ways has been the reality of (dis)information that pervades the online space in terms of literature – what is published, what is argued, why it is published, and why it is argued

The once stringent and disciplined enterprise of expressing ideas and thought (allowing for debate and critique) appears to be less the case.
As such, the reader or researcher must be ever more wary and vigilant about sources

This article has sought to cite what would be regarded as the most balanced, and disinterested sources. The reader or researcher is advised to be on guard and read more widely in order to come as close to a balanced view as possible.

A caveat, if you like
